The English Congregation

The English section of Capel y Traeth is small in number. We treasure new-comers, whether they be residents of the Criccieth area or are here for the duration of their holidays. We welcome especially those who, having moved to this area, perhaps a long time ago have found it difficult to commit to a new church and with a new group of people Capel y Traeth offers a warm welcome. Its worship is comfortably traditional - and serves to cover the inter denominational values and agendas of Methodists, Congregationalists, Presbyterians, Baptists , etc and those who see themselves as non aligned - as well as those who want a no fuss, no hassle, no pressure and a quiet Holy place to think, to listen, to wait and privately commune. At Capel y Traeth you aren't pressured, into staying, giving or worshiping. It is warm, welcoming and loving. We very much value your presence - each additional worshiper of any creed or colour is to us a real-time bonus - it enriches us as indeed our presence here hopefully enriches all who come here Your presence could be the life-blood this church needs. It desperately needs a growing congregation. We need that extra “two or three gathered in His name” to maintain our vitality. A focus on discipleship. And a focus on Faith and Love. We are blessed with a whole panoply of preachers - all of whom are blessed it seems with an extraordinary ability to extend their scholarship and their love and wisdom so that many hearts and minds are moved.
